# Components:

01 - 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
→ Vegetables & Herbs
03 - 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
04 - 8 fresh basil leaves
→ Bread
05 - 4 slices sourdough or Italian bread
→ Condiments
06 - 1 to 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
07 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
# Directions:
01 - Arrange bread slices on a clean cutting board. Evenly spread softened butter on one side of each slice.
02 - Flip two bread slices so the buttered side is down. Layer mozzarella slices, tomato slices, and basil leaves on the unbuttered side. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
03 - Drizzle each layered sandwich with 1/2 to 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze.
04 - Place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side facing outward.
05 - Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook sandwiches for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
06 - Remove sandwiches from the skillet, let rest for 1 minute. Slice in half and serve warm.
